We have been developing a modular, chassis-agnostic box body for 3.5-ton commercial vehicles. Targets include:

• Half the mass of existing offerings

• Cost parity with existing offerings

The eGrocery market is expanding rapidly. The addition of heavy batteries will reduce the payload; the most important aspect of delivering customer orders. Vehicles will be pushed over the 3.5-ton GVW limit.

Challenges possibly faced include:

• difficulty in recruiting drivers with >3.5-ton licenses (cost-effectively)

The modular result will be progressed in the 7.5-ton vehicle sector

• Massive potential across Europe due to Sunday delivery laws
