OUR TECHNOLOGY

Beyond Steel set out to invent 3D composite mouldings to replicate aluminium castings used in car bodies.

The intent was carbon fibre, but we found we could achieve similar results with glass fibre through geometry creation and materials placement.

Glass fibre is substantially cheaper than carbon fibre allowing materials costs to be low. Carbon fibre is placed where required; in some structures it is not required.

From car bodies, we progressed to truck cabs, bus structures, seat frames, a hospital bed, motorcycle swingarms (double-sided & single-sided), a motorcycle rear subframe (complete moulding incl. exterior panels), wind deflectors, battery cradles, and on, and on…
